After scaring me to death with a comment about my car possibly experiencing a problem with the head gasket, they continued looking at the car and discovered two bad caps. Those caps were replaced and the car driven several times to verify that it did not overheat. Yea! I have my car back with a minor charge instead of the huge bill I was waiting for. Thanks for the diligence!

Good mechanics are hard to come by.....Diablo Auto Specialists goes above and beyond with their customer service and efficiency.I called in the morning to explain that my AC went out and they said if I bring it in within the hour, they could diagnose the problem. By mid-day, I received a phone call from the owner Tim, who explained thoroughly my AC had a broken hose. They already contacted Subaru to see if they had the replacement hose (specific to my vehicle). Tim said they could have it fixed and back up and running before the day was out! In this East Bay heat wave, that's efficient work, especially when I drive my vehicle for work.

Even though I don't know the first thing about cars, I never feel like I'm being taken advantage of. Tim is always helpful and flexible, and does his best to save you money where he can!

Diablo Auto Specialists has outstanding customer service as well as vehicle service. They are honest and trustworthy and advise only as to what is needed. Will always recommend to any family and friends.

My problem was handled thoroughly, and it was solved by replacing the starter in a day. The price was reasonable and I am glad they took care of my car.
